Thank you for supporting the Re-Define by using our website and online services. Re-Define’s privacy policy sets out what information we collect when you use our family of sites, how we process it, how we use it, and importantly, how you can access it or request access to what we store.

Re-Define, by means of the present Privacy Policy, is also complying with the European Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data.

We take the security of your data and access to our website and portal very seriously.  None of the data we hold about you is considered ‘sensitive’ under UK or EU law. Re-Define follows the relevant legal requirements and takes all reasonable precautions to safeguard personal information.

Personal information submitted to Re-Define is only used to contact you regarding Re-Define’s activities. Information about visitors to the Re-Define website domain is automatically logged for the purposes of statistical analysis. Your email address is not automatically logged without your knowledge.

Personal data that you communicate to us

1)       during a visit to this Website: IP address via cookies
2)       when registering for our newsletter: name and e-mail address; organisation.

Log data

The only cookies in use on our site are for Google Analytics. Google Analytics are tools employed by organisations to help them understand how visitors engage with their website, so improvements can be made. By using our site, you are consenting to saving and sending us this data. You can opt out of Google Analytics – which will not affect how you visit our site. Our website uses local storage strictly for system administration to provide you with the best possible experience – used in order to create reports relating to web traffic and user preferences. This includes: your IP address; details of which web browser or operating system was used; and information on how you use the site.

Minors

We do not restrict the use of our website to users above a certain age because we feel that none of our content contains themes that could be deemed harmful to young people.

Links to other sites

Our website contains hyperlinks to many other websites. We are not responsible for the content or functionality of any of those external websites.

We use other kinds of information such as log data to analyse our sites’ usage in order to make improvements. Services such as Google Analytics provide us with aggregated usage data that is not identifiable to an individual user account.

Bulk email

In order to comply with internationally accepted best practice and with the law, we use MailChimp to send updates regarding our events or other activities to our registered users.  MailChimp is certified for the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework.  By submitting your information via the Subscribe box, you accept that your data may be held by MailChimp outside of the EU.  You have the right to opt out of these emails and have your data deleted.  Any email you receive from us via MailChimp will give you the option to unsubscribe.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share your information with, or sell to, third parties unless:

  1.  It is due to a lawful request under UK law e.g. a court order.
  2.  It is to protect Re-Define or enforce our rights in the event of a dispute or security breach

We may share aggregated data that is not identifiable to an individual user for marketing or research purposes.
